Guyton UMC will host Luella Krieger, Visitors from the Past Ministries, on March 6, 2016. She will share her message as “The Woman at the Well” during our 11:00 am worship service. Luella will also present her message as “Mary of Magdala” during a special 5:00 pm worship service. YOU ARE INVITED! Bring your family. Invite friends to meet you here. You will not want to miss this great opportunity to see the scriptures come to life as it is presented through these two characters of the Bible. A Holy Lent 2016

Posted on Feb 11 by

Are you looking forward to Easter? I am! Easter is a great time of year for us as Christians as we reflect and celebrate the resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. As we journey toward Easter, which is March 27, 2016 this year, it is important for us to be prepared to celebrate. In order for us to be prepared, we must also journey through the process of Lent – which is a time of self-examination and repentance. Begin again. The birth of a new year gives us the opportunity to begin again, start fresh in making our priorities real and important. Sunday, Jan. 3, 2016 gives you the opportunity to begin again – to make the decision to make Christ a priority in your life and the life of your family. I encourage you to make the decision to make church a priority in your life as well. At church, you can join the family of people that encourages, supports, worships, gives time for mission work, that are care givers, that join in Bible study, and who are faithful stewards of God’s blessings. The only way to have perfect attendance for 2016 is to join us this Sunday as we begin the new year together in worship. We worship at 8:30 am and 11:00 am. Our youth, grades 6-12, meets at 6:00 pm. 2016 can be a great year for you and your family – why not start it by praising God in worship with your GUMC family. Everyone invited to take a part in the...
